I have been in involved with Australian
Shepherds for over 35 years. My first Aussies came from Dorothy
Former of Sunnybrook. The foundation dogs for Shady Acres were a
combination of Sunnybrook, Windermere and Heatherhill kennels. I also
have had the privilege of handling some top dogs for various kennels
over the years.
Although I have litters only occasionally,
I take great pride in creating of the best Aussie possible. I strive
for beautiful dogs that are sound in mind as well as structure. My
dogs are modeled after the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA)
breed standard. However, temperament will never be sacrificed for
conformation at Shady Acres. My
dogs are companions first, and performance dog second.
